Engagement Rings with a Heart-Shaped Diamond
The heart-shaped diamond is the most romantic of all cuts — an open declaration of love inscribed directly into the ring. Its charm rests on perfect symmetry and balanced lobes, which let the heart read as a heart from every angle.
It shows best from roughly 0.50 ct upwards, when the shape is clear even from a distance. It suits those seeking a striking, personal and unmissable symbol — a ring that tells a story.

Why a heart
Romance from every angle
The heart is among the brilliant cuts — its facets are arranged so that the diamond sparkles intensely, much like a round brilliant. On top of that it carries a clearly legible shape that needs no explanation: it is an open declaration of love.
It is chosen by those who want a ring with a personal story and are not afraid of a bold gesture. A heart-shaped diamond stands out on a slimmer hand as well as at the centre of a more eye-catching ring, and works beautifully for both an engagement and an anniversary moment.
What to look for in a heart
Symmetry and balanced lobes are decisive
With the heart shape, symmetry is key. Both lobes must be equally rounded, the cleft between them clear and the point exactly on the axis — otherwise the shape appears tilted or flattened. We therefore recommend paying attention to the length-to-width ratio and overall balance rather than carat weight alone.
Because it is a brilliant cut, small inclusions are often lost in the play of light, so there is no need to aim for the highest clarity grades. Do, however, keep an eye on the area around the cleft and the point, where any imperfections are more visible. For the shape to show well, it is advisable to stay roughly above 0.50 ct — in smaller diamonds the heart is harder to read.
Setting and metal
How to protect and accentuate a heart
The point of a heart is its most sensitive spot, which is why we recommend protecting it with a V-shaped prong that firmly embraces the tip while also visually emphasising it. Both three-prong and five-prong settings hold the shape precisely on its axis.
A solitaire lets the symmetry stand out on its own, while a halo of smaller diamonds makes the whole heart larger still and frames it. For a heart-shaped diamond we offer white, yellow and rose gold and platinum — the choice of metal depends on whether you want to emphasise the shape through contrast or underscore it warmly.
