Lab-Grown Pink Diamonds

Lab-grown pink diamonds achieve their colour through post-growth treatment: irradiation creates lattice vacancies that, on controlled annealing, pair with nitrogen atoms to form nitrogen-vacancy (N-V) centres whose absorption produces a pink to purplish-pink bodycolour. This two-step process is permanent and must be disclosed on any grading report. Intensity grade is the key value differentiator — Fancy Vivid pink remains the most coveted and scarce designation even in lab-grown production.
