Lab-Grown Orange Diamonds

Lab-grown orange diamonds achieve their colour through post-growth treatment — typically irradiation followed by annealing at carefully controlled temperatures — which generates combinations of nitrogen-vacancy and associated lattice defect centres whose collective absorption produces warm orange and orangey-yellow hues. Treatment is permanent and must be disclosed on grading reports. Pure saturated orange is among the rarer lab-grown fancy colours; intensity grade is the key value differentiator across the range.
